Worm and Planetary gearboxes
Planetary gearboxes (PLG) have got the highest permissable continuous torques of all gearboxes and are in addition very compact, have a low weight and a high efficiency. For our planetary gearboxes a huge number of different materials for all customer demands are combinable. The torque range amounts up to 160 Nm and reductions from 4:1 up to 710,5:1 are possible. The ring gear is available in plastic as well as in metal and is additionally used as gearbox housing. The planetary wheels are made of plastic, steel, brass or sintered steel, are available straight or helical cut and guarantee a balanced force distribution due to self-centering. the gearbox output shaft is made of steel and mounted double-sided for resisting high axial and radial forces. Exepting the PLG 30 (self-lubricating cylindrical bearing) ball bearings are used. Special designs with a welded shaft for extreme loadings are also available. The gearboxes are deliverable in numerous special designs, for example for applications with a very low ambient temperature or as high performance gearboxes with a strengthened output shaft and a special lubrication for the best lifetime.
Worm gears (SG) are characterized by long lifetime and smooth running. The worm wheel shaft is mounted double-sided. The toothing parts in bronze or steel as well as a grease lubrication guarantee a long lifetime for the given torques. For a lot of applications the by 90° towards the motor shaft staggered gear shaft is ideal because of its structural conditions. On request, worm gears are also deliverable with ring gears.
