Brakes: Nearly all Dunkermotors can be endowed with holding brakes. As a standard feature spring-applied brakes are delivered. That means that the deceleration takes place when no voltage fits, and opens when electricity runs. Load current brakes are available on request. For all brakes, the protection caps IP 54 or IP 65 are available. Combinations of incremental encoders and brakes are possible.
Optical encoders: All Dunkermotors can be endowed with an encoder system. The incremental encoders work touchless and wear-free. A light-emitting diode, a metallic slotted disc and a photo diode array build a light barrier. An internal logic generates by 90° staggered square-wave signals out of signals of the photo diodes, with or without reference pulse. With cable lenghts up to 2.5 meters between motor and encoder, an RE .. TI, endowed with an additional performance driver, is advisable. The supply voltage of the incremental encoders standardly is 5 VDC. For special designs, versions with 24V are available additionally.
Magnetic encoders: The magnetic encoders are suitable for rotational speed detection, rotational speed regulation and positioning in combination with a respective electronic. The magnetic encoders work touchless and wear-free together with hall sensors and a magnetic ring. The simple construction, the magnetic signal generation and the output signal, which can be regulated through the supply voltage, enable a safe operation.
